4 modules is the standard. Less can fail on busy surfaces.

Recent QR codes
Kept in this browser only. Contact and WiFi codes are never kept here, because they hold personal details.
Before you put it up
- The network name and password must match your router exactly, including capitals and spaces. Scan it once with your phone before printing.
- A separate guest network keeps your own devices apart and lets you change the guest password without touching them.
- Put it where guests sit, such as the counter or tables, at around 10 cm wide so it is easy to scan.
How it works
- Enter the contentPick a type such as URL, WiFi or contact and fill in the fields. The preview updates as you type.
- Style itTap a preset to change shape, colors and frame at once. Add your logo and frame text if you like.
- Check and downloadMake sure the stamp on the sticker says it scans, then download PNG, SVG, PDF or EPS, or print a sticker sheet.
Why it is free and never expires
There are two kinds of QR code. A static code holds your link inside the image, so the phone goes straight there. There is no server in between, so nobody can switch it off. A dynamic code holds a short link of the provider and passes through their server on every scan. That lets you change the link and count scans later, but it can stop working when the subscription ends.
Staycode only makes static codes. They never expire, and the site is paid for by ads, not by you. The trade-off: you cannot change the link after printing, so for content that may change, point the code at a page you control.
Questions people ask
How do guests connect?
Most phones show a "Join network" prompt when the built-in camera sees the code. Tapping it connects without typing the password. Phones whose camera cannot read it can use a QR app or this site's scanner and copy the password.
Can the password contain ; or : and other symbols?
Yes. The characters \ ; , : " have a special meaning in the WiFi QR format, so a \ is added in front of them automatically.
Which security type should I pick?
Almost all current routers use WPA/WPA2/WPA3. Choose "None" only for open networks and WEP only for very old routers. Your router settings page or label shows which one you have.
If I change the password, do I need a new code?
Yes. The password is stored inside the image, so after changing it on the router the old code will not connect.
Is the password stored anywhere?
No. The code is made in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. WiFi codes are not kept in "Recent QR codes" either.
